Nita Faulkner

Nita began studying art over 11 years ago and hasn’t stopped creating since. In 2008, she realized that she could combine her passion for art with her love of theatre by creating scenic art for plays and musicals. After Nita was hired to work on a production of Twelfth Night at Chapman University in 2013, she was not only offered admission to the university, but awarded the Theatre Award and Scholarship. She graduated early and Cum Laude from Chapman University with a BA in Theatre Technology (Design) and a minor in Integrated Educational Studies in January 2016.

Nita has served as a scenic painter and prop designer for The Chance Theatre, Chapman University, Knott’s Berry Farm, as well as community theatres across Los Angeles. She was also recently featured on Food Network as she painted two murals for a restaurant makeover in Dana Point. Her teaching career began immediately after graduating from college as she began teaching art and art history at various elementary schools across Orange County. Nita loves sharing her enthusiasm and knowledge of art and design with her students at MRCA.
